Despite all the gloom and doom about the US economy, North America still boasts some of the world’s greatest technology growth stocks and there is no sign that their growth is slowing.
Names on my list of US super stocks would include Apple, Research In Motion (Canada-based but the US is its biggest market), Google, Baidu.com (quoted on Nasdaq but dominates the mainland Chinese Internet search market), Potash Corp of Saskatchewan (stretching it a bit as a technology company and also Canada based), Monsanto (king of seeds and genetically modified crops) and First Solar.
The results coming out of these companies are amazing. Apple’s recently reported second quarter figures showed sales up 42.7 per cent and earnings per share jumping by a third.
