When the bubble burst, the company seemed to be heading for oblivion like so many similar businesses. All credit then to Geoff Wicks, who joined the group as chief executive in 2001 and set the group on the course that has made the group, if not a rival to the Googles, Amazons and Ebays of this world, but still a highly successful company delivering a string of years of strong growth and enhanced shareholder value and every prospect that the good performance will continue for a good while yet.
