Emerging markets on course for great century

The more I look at emerging markets, the more I think they have to be one of the best homes for everybody’s savings.

It is not just that they have had a good decade. We are probably talking about these markets outperforming the west for the whole of this century.

OK, that is a very long investment horizon but we don’t have to be there for the whole run, just some of the time will do very nicely.

Our markets have already boomed
We even talk about the economies of Europe and the US as mature economies, which is exactly what they are; they have already had their booms.

They were long ones - running for the best part of 200 years - but now they are over. We have not just slowed down in the west, we are in a mess, buried in debts and obsessed with statist solutions to our problems that are unlikely to work.
