Z9000814. The information you provide is safeguarded under the terms of that Act.
Data to be collected and uses of the data
EveryInvestor collects data about you, your interests and the subjects you would like to receive communications about. This information is used to assist third parties in communicating with you about their products and services.
Collection of data through "cookies"
EveryInvestor uses resident cookies to store data on your hard disk for the purpose of identifying you when you return to the EveryInvestor site. If you have resident cookies disabled in your browser you are still able to use the site but EveryInvestor you will not have the benefit of an automatic login.
EveryInvestor uses sessions to store data on our server that are individually identifiable. Registration though third party sites
The collection of data by EveryInvestor through registration on third party sites may lead to your data also being held by that third party site.
Provision of your data to third parties
The data you provide to EveryInvestor collected during your registration is held and controlled by EveryInvestor in a central database and is not shared with third parties. The process of supplying you with this information is at all times under the control of EveryInvestor although specialist third party suppliers carry out the dispatch of communications.
Provision of your data to third party service providers
EveryInvestor works with a number of third service providers such as Mortgage Brokers and Independent Financial Advisers who have been vetted by EveryInvestor to provide services to our users. There may be instances when EveryInvestor collects your data in order that you may be provided with the service offered - for example a mortgage quote. All the Data supplied to our partners in these instances is collected again and your express consent sought at the point of collection before the data is forwarded to our partner.
Provision of your name and address data to third parties
EveryInvestor collects your name and address details during registration in order that it may provide you with offers and communications about the subjects you have requested, by post or email. The data is not shared with third parties. To indicate your preference to receive third party promotions please tick the boxes provided at the time you enter your name and address details, or by returning to the EveryInvestor.co.uk site and selecting the amend details option.
Contact by mobile phone or other PDA devices
At times it may be appropriate for EveryInvestor or its clients to contact you with offers and information in respect of your interests or to inform you about subjects upon which you have requested information through your mobile phone or other PDA devices. Before doing so EveryInvestor will always ask you for your specific consent. If having given consent previously, you wish to withdraw this consent you may do so by logging on and amending your details on the site.
Use of external suppliers
EveryInvestor may from time to time use third party suppliers to provide all or part of a service to you. EveryInvestor shall only be entitled to supply such of your personal information as is necessary to enable them to provide the relevant service to you. You should be aware that such outside service providers might be based in countries outside the European Union whose laws provide for a different standard of protection for your personal data than that provided under English law. In such circumstance EveryInvestor will have in place contractual arrangements which will require your data to be processed at least to a standard compliant with the Data Protection Act 1988.
Relevance and accuracy of your data
The data you provide to EveryInvestor will be held as you have provided it. You may at any time amend or update your data by visiting EveryInvestor.co.uk and selecting the Update Details option.
Deregistration
You may at any time deregister from EveryInvestor by logging in to everyinvestor.co.uk using your password & email address, then selecting the MyAccount link. The consequences of deregistration are that your account details will be placed in a suppression file and you will not receive any further email communications from EveryInvestor.
Provision of your data for enhancement purposes
Your data may be provided to clients of EveryInvestor to be appended to information they already hold about you for the purpose of contacting you with information about their products and services. When first contacting you these clients will seek your appropriate consent.
Use of your data for analytical and statistical purposes
Your data together with that of other subscribers to EveryInvestor may be aggregated at Postcode or other levels for the building of statistical and analytical tables. At no time will your data be individually identifiable in such tables.
Legal requirements to provide data
Except as provided above EveryInvestor will not provide your personal information to any third party without your prior consent, however, under certain circumstances the force of law may require the provision of information to the legal authorities. In order to maintain the integrity of its website and safeguard the interests of its subscribers EveryInvestor will comply with any such legally binding request.
Security of the Internet
The Internet is not a 100% secure medium for communication and, accordingly EveryInvestor cannot guarantee the security of any information you send to EveryInvestor via the Internet. EveryInvestor is not responsible for any loss or damage you or others may suffer as a result of the loss of confidentiality of such information.
