If you’re considering purchasing Virgin car insurance make sure you apply online as you’ll get a 10% discount for doing so.
And you can secure a further 10% off your quote if you have an existing Virgin Money insurance product, such as home insurance or pet insurance. Alternately, if this is your first Virgin Money policy, that 10% discount applies to your next insurance purchase.

As an added incentive, you can pay off your policy month by month without incurring any additional costs – many other insurers will charge you interest on the amount you owe, sometimes as high as 25%.

Give careful thought to what you need
Obviously we’d all like to own the most thorough insurance policy on the market so we are protected against every eventuality, but with the cost of living constantly rising, it’s not always affordable.
Conversely, if you simply purchased the cheapest possible insurance, will you be able to handle all that extra cost if you are involved in an accident that your policy doesn’t cover?
Buying insurance is all about finding the right balance between cover and cosy. Her we take a look at the three main divisions.
Comprehensive car insurance
The most thorough policy available. You and your car are covered for any accident you have, whether it’s your fault or not. You’re also protected against your car being stolen, fire damaged or broken into, and we’ll give you a courtesy car while it’s being repaired (subject to availability when you use an approved repairer).
Third party, fire and theft car insurance
You’re covered for any damage you do to others, if your car catches fire or someone steals it. But cause an accident and any repairs to your car will need to be paid for by you.
Third party car insurance
The bare bones policy, which is the minimum you need to be on the road. If a bump’s your fault, damage you do to other people’s cars or property is covered. Whatever happens to your car isn’t. And you can only have this cover if your car’s worth less than £5,000. (Only available by phone at Virgin Money)
