J.P. Morgan adds Tayebi to its emerging market team

J.P. Morgan Asset Management has announced the appointment of Nima Tayebi to its emerging market debt and currency team.

Tayebi is a currency specialist with more than 18 years experience. He joins to lead J.P. Morgan Asset Management's emerging market currency investment strategy, a key component of the company's local currency debt portfolios.

Tayebi will report to Pierre-Yves Bareau, head of emerging market debt and Jonathon Griggs, head of FX strategy. 

Tayebi was most recently a portfolio manager at Polar Capital Partners. Prior to that, he was at Aberdeen Asset Management for nine years as an emerging market currency and debt portfolio manager. He also spent two years at Millennium Global Investments, a specialist currency management boutique, and has held FX trading and research positions on the sell side at Salomon Brothers and Renaissance Capital, based in Moscow.
