Rainforest is perfect land for conservation since it is extremely valuable ecologically and highly efficient at absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere. This is supported by a more stable economic environment – according to The Financial Times (02.09.10), the country has ‘…settled into a period of more sustainable growth. Most economists expect Brazil’s economy to grow about 7 per cent this year’.
